At 21, a commerce graduate from Kolkata ran into selling career nurturing a dream to become an exceptional professional as his belief drove him into it - "selling is the most tangibly contributing profession to the society at large and also to the country - be it any country - anywhere"

Beginning as a sales representative he traveled through all the managerial roles and responsibilities as:

  • District Manager - all 4 years above 110% achievement each year
  • Product Manager - revived declining brands to double the size in one year time
  • Training Manager - set up a full fledged training department in SOL Pharmaceuticals Limited, Hyderabad and conducted refresher for 450 plus field force in one go - back to back programs
  • Head - Marketing & Training - Klar Sehen Private Limited - in less than two years organized people development process, new brands launch, reviving declining brands
  • GM ( Marketing) C Marc India Private Limited - launched the concept of segmentation in pricing for a research outfit which was needed to be organized in this front - client list shrunk by 15% & turn over grew over 75%
  • GPM - Natco Pharma Limited - brought in organized brand management discipline in the domestic marketing, recruited & trained a large team of PMT & Training - Revived the a snailing speciality division to a growth of 120% - took charge as Resident Director - CIS countries based at Moscow
  • Head - Marketing & Training - Aurobindo Pharma Limited, Hyderabad - brought in organized brand management discipline in the domestic marketing, recruited & trained a team of PMT & Training
  • GM (Marketing & Sales) - Intas Pharmaceuticals Limited - brought in organized brand management discipline in the marketing, recruited & trained a large team of PMT & Training - in two years time busines grew over 200%, developed a team of sales managers & a dynamic PMT - expanded opration successfully in unexplored ares - new division launch plans through internal human resources
  • VP (Marketing & Sales) - ALKEM - launched a new division that from 'scratch to start' began the market operation at the field level  in just 90 days with 59% Retail Availability in 6 months of launch,  70 out of 100 business regions crossed RS. 1.0 Lakh YPMM mark from the third month onward which continued to grow with 'me-too’ products, launched successfully first true patient friendly Anti-Alzheimer’s drug in India, which received tremendous response from relevant specialists of doctors - leadership established in 4 months time and maintained it - still the leader, three brands featured in top 10 prescribed products within the defined categories within four months of launch, the most noticed launch activities of a new speciality SBU as mass-opined by leading psychiatrists in India.
  • VP (Service Develpoment) - C Marc India Private Limited - developed business relation bond with top 20 pharma companies by way of service through reciprocation.
  • Aroop trained over 100 trainers - over 60 are well placed in the industry and outside. Currently an experiential specialist teacher/ trainer & active doer in pharma, healthcare & allied areas covering:
